Maria Elena Camporeale (nee Asensi), 84, passed away December 5, 2024.
Maria Elena was born to her adoring parents Pastor Asensi Pan and Maria de Los Angeles Fernandez in La Coruna, Spain. She lived in Spain, Venezuela, and New Jersey.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, from 9:00 - 10:30 am at Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home. Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Stephen’s Church and Entombment is at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
Maria Elena completed high school in Spain. She additionally went on to complete college coursework in fashion design.
Maria Elena married the love of her life Dominick A. Camporeale. He preceded her in death on 01-31-2017. Maria Elena was preceded in death by her parents Sr. and Sra. Pastor Asensi Pan. Also preceded in death by her brothers Pastor, Jose Luis and Caesar. Preceded in death by her sisters Olga Garcia, Isabelle Panetta, Adela Asensi and Maria (Macu) Trueba. Preceded by her brother-in-laws Javier Garcia, Joaquin Trueba and Sergio Panetta. Also preceded by her nephew Joaquin Trueba, Jr and niece Mabalin, and sister-in-law Marissa Asensi.
Maria Elena is survived by her sister-in-law Orbi Asensi, her niece Maria Elena “Cookie” Trueba Schulte (Pete), their three children Nick, Nichole, Chris and eight great-grand nieces and nephews. Also survived by two nieces in Spain, Olga Maria Asensi Gomez and Alejandra Jose Asensi Gomez and her daughter Paola. Maria Elena is also survived by her nephew Raymond (Lynn) Camporeale and niece Rosemary Camporeale
