Maxamino Pego, 91, of Kearny passed away at home on March 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Maria Pego (nee Muñiz Ayaso). Loving father of Manuel Pego and his spouse Terry, Jose Pego Muñiz and his spouse Carmen and Max Pego and his spouse Andrea. Dear brother of Esther Rego. Cherished grandfather of Adam, Adrian, Michael, Stephanie, Carmen, Manny, Danny and Nicky. Great grandfather of Damien, Ariella, Autumn, Dan and Sebastian. Born in La Coruña, Spain, Maximino immigrated to the United States with his wife Maria in 1969. He planted his roots in New Jersey, working as a Laborer for Local 472, Newark, he and his family attended Sunday Mass in Immaculate Heart of Mary, Newark. In his past-time he enjoyed fishing with his boys and “Tio Manuel” every Saturday (weather permitting) . He was a family man, retiring early just to spend more time with them.
