Georgina Gillespie passed away at home on July 16, 2024. She was 85. Born in Scotland, she lived in Maplewood before moving to Kearny many years ago. Gina’s funeral arrangements are being altered from the normal schedule to accommodate some of her loving family. There will be a funeral Mass celebrated on Saturday July 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephens Church in Kearny. Her visiting will be the following day, Sunday July 28, 2024 at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive in Kearny from 12 noon until 4;00 p.m. That will conclude her services. Cremation will be handled privately.
Gina was the beloved wife of the late Desmond Gillespie and dear companion of the late Jimmy May, dear sister of Brenda Lee and Jack Dorris. She is also survived by her loving nephews; Michael Lee, Derek Lee, Mark Dorris and Jack Dorris along with many other Gillespie relatives.
