Jose A. Martinez, 83 of Harrison passed away on March 28, 2025.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Sunday April 6 from 11am to 3pm, with a funeral service being celebrated at 2:30pm.
Born in Lima, Peru, Jose has lived in Harrison since 1977. He was a foreman for the Trichem Company in Harrison prior to his retirement.
Jose is survived by his beloved wife Elbia; his children Jose O. Martinez and his wife Allenes, Nancy Mesa and her husband Luis and Clara M. Martinez. He is also survived by his stepchildren Madeline, Maria, Wanda, Susy, Gladys, Bienvenido, Juan and Felipe; his previous wives Zoila, Lucy and Laura; by his grandchildren Karina, Stacy, Anna Maria, Samuel Angel, Walter, Clarita and Jazmin; and great-grandchildren Terrance, Jr., Levi, Jordan, Julianna, Kiyomi and Alexavier. He was also the dear brother of Jose Luis, Fidel, Ricardo, Felix, and the late Luis, Jesus, Dora, Juan, Berta, Angelica, Hector and Genoveva.
